Art Glass Graal Goblet by Wilke Adolfsson 1990

A large goblet made of art glass, designed and produced by the Swedish glass artist Wilke Adolfsson in 1990. Blue and purple glass decorated using the Graal technique and with a clear glass overlay. The cup depicts a tropical jungle scene with a man and a woman hunting as well as palm trees, monkeys, gifaffes, birds and antelopes. Signed in the glass body “WA90” and on the base “Wilke Alofsson - 90 - 0336”.

Wilke Adolfsson (*1940) worked as glassmaker for the Orrefors glassworks from 1963 to 1973. In 1979 he founded the glass studio Stenshyttan in Transjö together with Ann Wärff (Wolff). Since 1983 he runs his own glass studio in Orrefors, Sweden.
