A Finnish art glass vase designed by Gunnel Nyman and manufactured by Nuutajarvi Notsjo in the 1940s. Heavy clear glass decorated with regular air bubbles. Signed with acid etched signature - almost invisible. An authentic classical example of Scandinavian art glass.
Gunnel Nymann (1909 – 1948) was a Finnish glass and metal artist who is seen as one of the founders of modern Finnish glass design. She was also a supporter of early mass production. Gunnel Nymann worked for Nuutajarvi, Riihimaeki and Iittala in the post-war period.
