The fine lion wood carving relief is depicting the Swiss deadly wounded lion of Luzerne. The original statue stands in the center of Luzerne and reminds of the deadly wounded Swiss guardsmen during the storm of the Tuileries in Paris in 1792. The relief is handcarved out of a pice of lime wood in Switzerland, Brienz ca. 1900.
