Stylish 'Tulip' vase with elongated, fluting body on a slender column and flaring base in light red and clear coloration. Designed by Nils Landberg and produced by Orrefors, Sweden in 1957. A superb example from this iconic series. Engraved signature on the base 'Orrefors Expo NU 311-57'. 

Nils Landberg (1907 -1991) was a Swedish glass artist. Landberg started his careeer at the engraving school at Orrefors in the 1930s and continued in the 40s as assistant of Edward Hald. In his 40 years at Orrefors he designed engraved pieces as well as the Tulip series which represents his artistic signature.
