A large scandinavian Graal art glass bowl, designed by the Swedish glass artist Gunnar Cyren and manufactured by Orrefors in the 1970s. Blue and yellow glass decorated using the Graal technique and with a clear glass overlay. The bowl features the Orrefors sticker and is signed on the base 'Orrefors Graal 1169-78 Gunnar Cyren'. Weight 7 kg (15.4 lbs).

Gunnar Cyren (1931-2013) was one of Sweden’s foremost silversmiths and glass artists. He completed a metalworking apprenticeship at the School of Applied Arts in Stockholm and earned his certificate as goldsmith and silversmith. He joined the Orrefors Glassworks in 1959, where he attracted considerable attention with his Pop glasses in bold colors. He designed for the Orrefors Glassworks, Dansk Designs International, and in his own silversmithing studio. Among his most acclaimed works are his polished engravings and glassware collections such as Kolonn, Helena, and Nobel. He held numerous exhibitions in Sweden and abroad and is represented in several museums around the world.
