Horst Stauber (1943 - 2024) was a German artist who worked in Passau, Bavaria. In the 1960s, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. During this time, he established contacts with glass workshops in Murano. Back in Bavaria, he began to work with glass. Influenced by the glass tradition of the Bohemian Forest, he had his glasses blown by Maestro Gino Salmistrari at Ferro & Lazzarini in Venice and refined them in his home workshop in Passau by cutting or painting them.
