A Finnish art glass vase designed by Gunnel Nyman and manufactured by Nuutajarvi Notsjo in the 1950s. Heavy clear glass decorated with regular air bubbles. Signed with incised signature 'G. Nymann Nuutarjarvi Notsio 59'. An authentic classical example of Scandinavian art glass.

Gunnel Nymann (1909 – 1948) was a Finnish glass and metal artist who is seen as one of the founders of modern Finnish glass design. She was also a supporter of early mass production. Gunnel Nymann worked for Nuutajarvi, Riihimaeki and Iittala in the post-war period.
