Gaetana “Gae” Aulenti (1927–2012) was an Italian architect, interior designer, and designer. She completed her architecture studies in 1954 and worked as a designer for Knoll, Olivetti, Stilnovo, Venini, Artemide, and others. She designed the award-winning Italian pavilion for the 13th Architecture Triennale in Milan in 1964. In addition to her work as a designer and architect, she worked as an editor and lecturer and designed stage sets.
