Vintage Set of Six Roe Deer Trophies on Wooden Plaques Germany ca. 1960s
Item e8130

A collection of six vintage roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) antler trophies from the 1960s, each mounted on a dark brown wooden plaque. The set showcases a variety of antler formations, including several unusual and abnormal examples that add distinctive character. The naturally toned skulls and the deep-stained plaques make this ensemble a striking addition to a hunting lodge or rustic interior.

Trophies are mementos from the hunted game, which are kept by the huntsmen as a souvenir or decorative item. For many centuries it was a tradition to collect trophies. Nowadays exactly these are becoming more and more popular as decorative highlights in hunting lodges.
