Vintage Black Forest Deer Trophy from Salem - Germany, Eggensteiner forst 1947

An uneven 10 pointer black forest deer (Cervus elaphus) trophy from the palace of Salem in South Germany. Shot by a member of the lordly family of Baden in 1947. The handwritten inscriptions are on the skull with, place of the hunt, family crest and date. The trophy is mounted on a wooden plaque with dark green paint. It is in good condition.
