An antique trophy of the 8-pointer red deer (Cervus elaphus) from Salem Castle in southern Germany. Shot by a member of the princely family of Baden in 1917. Mounted on a wooden plate with dark green varnish. Skull with handwritten inscription stating the place and date of the hunt. The plaque bears the branded family coat of arms on the back.
