Antique Armadillo Taxidermy Table Lamp, circa 1920s
Item e8225

A rare and unusual antique table lamp crafted from genuine armadillo taxidermy, dating to the 1920s–1930s. The lamp features the animal’s original shell forming the shade, with head, ears, and tail fully integrated into the design. Typical of early 20th-century 'curiosity lighting,' the piece is adorned with a decorative fringe trim  in green along the lower edge, complemented by a turned wooden base. Such lamps were popular novelty items and souvenirs of the period, often produced in regions like Texas or South America for export and collectors.
