A set of six paintings depicting minstrel scenes from the Manesse song handbook (Manesse Codex) which was written in the 12th and 13th century. The paintings depict e. g. Walter von der Vogelweide (Walter of the bird pasture), Sunecker, Rudolf von Neuenburg, Hugo von Werbenwag, etc. Handpainted with enamel paint in Germany ca. 1950s. Framed in wooden frames with gilded decorations. Good condition with some traces of age.
