Antique Horn Snuff Box with Hunting Scene Early 19th Century
Item e7758

This antique snuff box is expertly crafted from polished horn, featuring intricate relief carvings of two deer set against a dark, textured background. The natural creamy hue of the horn contrasts beautifully with the darker sections, emphasizing the fine detail of the carving. The removable lid is topped with an elegant fluted finial as a stopper, that kept the snuff fresh. A fine example of early 19th-century craftsmanship in the manner of Wilhelm Lebrecht Schulz.
