Vintage Bavarian Traditional Costume Jewelry Charivari with Hunting Pendants
Item e7406

A Bavarian Charivari from the middle of the 20th century. A beautiful piece of historical Bavarian folk art jewelry, a real collector's item. A charivari is a traditional piece of Bavarian costume jewelry. It is worn by men on the bib of their traditional leather pants. The charivari was used as jewelry or as a talisman for a successful hunt and is a valuable status symbol for the wearer. Crafted from solid chain links, this charivari features ten charms in a traditional rustic style: three deer horn pendants, a wild boar beard, a stag bit, a edelweiss on a stag horn plate, two coins, a horn with carved elephants, a white beard.
