An antique lusterweibchen chandelier depicting the Saint Lucretia who turns the dagger against herself and commits suicide after she has been violated. The archetype of this luster was designed in the 16th centuy and is hanging in the townhall of Sterzing in Austria. This example was formerly hanging in the townhall of Aachen in Germany. It is made of wood and plaster - mounted on a large pair of ibex antlers. The luster comes with iron suspension and 4 fixtures with electrified spouts. Manufactured around 1880. Good condition with some paint abreasions and paint restaurations.
