A large bowl of the Folto series designed by Toots Zynsky for Venini in 1984. Red and light green incamiciato glass with a folded neck and a glass spiral decoration on the body. Manufactured by Venini Murano Venice 1984. Incised signature 'Zynsky venini 84' on the base and Venini Company and Museo lables on the body. The vase was bought in the 1990s directly from the Venini collection.

In 1921 Paolo Venini and Giacomo Cappellin founded a company that would become world famous. Under the artistic directions of Vittorio Zecchin the Vetri Soffiati Cappellin Venini & C. become the whiz kid of the golden 1920s. Over the decades, countless world-renowned artists like Napoleone Martinuzzi, Carlo Scarpa, Tomaso Buzzi, Fulvio Bianconi, Tuni Zuccheri, Thomas Stearns, Toots Zynski or Ettore Sottsass have enthusiastically worked for Venini, designing something very special with each of their new techniques and designs. The creations of Venini were honored with several awards. Till today Venini is one of the leading art glass manufacturies on Murano.
