A large fish sculpture designed by Tyra Lundgren for Venini Murano Venice in 1938. Heavy black glass with a decoration in lattimo fenicio, transparent overlay and an iridized surface. With 'venini murano ITALIA' acid stamp on the base. This is one of the rare iconic designs of Tyra Lundgren for Venini. 

In 1921 Paolo Venini and Giacomo Cappellin founded a company that would become world famous. Under the artistic directions of Vittorio Zecchin the Vetri Soffiati Cappellin Venini & C. become the whiz kid of the golden 1920s. Over the decades, countless world-renowned artists like Napoleone Martinuzzi, Carlo Scarpa, Tomaso Buzzi, Fulvio Bianconi, Tuni Zuccheri, Thomas Stearns, Toots Zynski or Ettore Sottsass have enthusiastically worked for Venini, designing something very special with each of their new techniques and designs. The creations of Venini where honored with several awards. Till today Venini is one of the leading art glass manufacturies on Murano.
