This painting depicts the portrait of a 19th-century Viennese lady in her traditional costume. She is wearing a dark, possibly black dress with a V-shaped neckline richly decorated with golden floral embroidery, as well as a delicate necklace with a bright red gemstone pendant. It was painted in Vienna in oil on canvas in 1892 by an unknown artist. It is signed illegibly in the lower right corner. The painting is in good condition considering its age. It is framed in an ornate, elaborately crafted gold frame. The frame has been restored in some places.
