An antique Wunderkammer installation of an ammonite cephalopod shell fossil with silver mounting. The elaborately worked silver mount features a goat, cupid, gargoiles and a moonstone as well as floral elements and bathing women. Marked on the base with an unidentified hall mark. Germany first half of the 19th century.
