Antique Black Forest Deer Trophy from Salem - Germany 1876

An uneven 8 pointer black forest deer (Cervus elaphus) trophy from the palace of salem in south germany. Shot by a member of the lordly family of Baden in 1876. The handwritten inscriptions are on the skull with, place of the hunt, family crest and date. The trophy is mounted on a nice wooden plaque with inventory number and stamped family crest on the back. Good condition.The paint on the plaque is partly peeled off.
